| Rob
Miller (born: 1960)
BA(Hons) Fine Art - Bolton University
Rob Miller is a prolific landscape artist now living and working
in Lancashire. His paintings of the UK and Europe display a
maturity and depth of understanding that set him aside from
his peers. A strong awareness of geology and the impact of mans
behaviour upon the landscape are inherent within his work and a
number of seasoned art collectors associated with our Lancashire gallery are paying an avid interest.
He is inspired by the European artists De Stael, Picasso, Rembrandt
and Cezanne and is also influenced by the Spanish poets Lorca
and Neruada, along with the French poet Philippe Jaccottet and
the Englishman Ted Hughes. |

"My work is concerned with mans relationship
with the environment. The architecture and placement of the
structures and spaces that we call home or work; how they are
treated, how the inhabitants live-in and relate to their surrounding
environment, how they are created and how they decline. These
are the visible marks that may survive the person that I find
fascinating."
